Help! My Skin Is Breaking Out!

Your 4-Step Action Plan to Clear

It’s happened to all of us at one point or another. Maybe your worst breakout ever happened on the eve of your prom or even worse, your wedding. Or maybe it was the morning of your big presentation for your first day in college or a new job.
Regardless of the scenario, a breakout – especially around an important occasion when you’re stressed out -- is an all-hands-on-deck situation.

Step 1. Keep your hands to yourself
Don’t pop or squeeze breakouts no matter how tempted you are. This will only make matters worse as you will push some of the yuck inside the pimple (think pus, dead skin cells, or bacteria) deeper into your skin, leading to more noticeable acne and sometimes scarring and pain.

Step 2. Run for cover
Treating a breakout takes time, and you are likely on the clock. If it's a run-of-the-mill breakout, cover it up using a non-comedogenic concealer to avoid clogging your pores. If the area is red and inflamed, use a green primer or green concealer to cover it up. If you are dealing with cystic, swollen acne, use a hot or cold compress to reduce the inflammation and size of a lesion, and then put on concealer

Step 3. Choose the best treatment for the job

There are lots of creams, serums, washes, gels, and other products that promise to banish zits, but 99.7% of actives don’t penetrate the most external layer of the skin (stratum corneum). This means that even the most powerful pimple-fighting ingredients do not pass go.

To the rescue: meso’me Clear.
meso’me products by Pluryal provide a combination of active ingredients with the effects of mesotherapy…at home. The container’s integrated needles
gently pierce the skin’s barrier to deliver a powerful cocktail of acne fighters directly where they are needed most.

meso’me’s Clear improves skin imperfections, reduces enlarged pores, blackheads, and pimples, and regulates sebum production. Your skin produces waxy or oily sebum, which can contribute to breakouts.

Put another way: meso’me’s Clear not only deals with the breakout du jour – but it stops other ones in their tracks by regulating sebum production.

meso’me’s Clear contains key actives including Sodium hyaluronate
This ingredient can help reduce dryness. It’s not an oil, so it can hydrate oily and acne-prone skin without blocking pores or causing greasiness.

Biotin.

This active is useful in acne characterized by high levels of sebum.

Salicylic acid

A staple in anti-acne products, salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid that reduces acne by exfoliating the skin and keeping pores clean and clear.

Salicylic acid recently got a nod of approval from acne experts in the new guidelines from the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).

Niacinamide

This active boasts an anti-inflammatory effect, which helps reduce the redness and swelling of acne and regulates the sebum produced by the glands.
Bonus: it helps fade purple and brown marks left by acne too.

Lactic acid

An alpha hydroxy acid, lactic acid is a powerful exfoliator that helps get rid of dead skin cells, which can contribute to acne.

Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract
A potent antioxidant, ginkgo Biloba leaf extract has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help treat acne.
Panthenol
This ingredient turns down the oil production in the sebaceous glands.
Retinyl palmitate

Retinyl palmitate treats mild acne and reduces the signs of aging on the skin. Retinoids are a staple in skincare products, but some cause irritation and sun sensitivity. Retinyl palmitate is a gentler retinoid, so you get the benefits without the risks. Topical retinoids are one of the acne treatments recommended in the latest acne guidelines from the American Academy of Dermatology.

Step 4. Stick With It
Give your acne treatment time to work its magic. When people used meso’me’s Clear for 28 days, applying it three times a week:

  • 23.91% saw a visible improvement in skin imperfections
  • 85% reported a sebo-regulating effect.

They also showed :

  • A 24.71% decrease in dilated pores
  • A 23.81% reduction in blackheads
  • A 25% decrease in pimples
  • 12.7% decrease in sebum
